The flowers would have tended to grow in a spiral pattern, to be bisexual (in plants, this means both male and female parts on the same flower), and to be dominated by the ovary (female part). As flowers grew more advanced, some variations developed parts fused together, with a much more specific number and design, and with either specific sexes per flower or plant, or at least "ovary inferior".

Maybe this will help with the 100 beads you have to make.
I quoted it. I was just thinking about you and Pam and how we should have a get together :) I received by macaw bead from Kim Fields and it is just beautiful ~ I do need some pretty flowers to go with it - hint, hint ;0 I will try and photograph it so you can see it. Oh, and may I go to Maui? Actually, there's a bead show there in January. I think Tammy (T-beads) is going - I'm sooo jealous. Oh well, one day....in the mean time I have learned Kumihimo with beads - I must find my zen and practice. Hope all is well - tata for now :)

Comment on Short Summer

Maui - don't hesitate - the trip is worth it - the beauty - the history - rest relax enjoy the peacefulness in the sounds of the ocean breath in the salt air - and don't forget how many flowers are their ~
Make sure you go to the Hula Grill on the beach ~ Vacation - YES - go for it...

Comment on No Big Changes!

Barb, My condolences for your loss.
